Bipin Kumar Rai

Dr. Bipin Kumar Rai is an Environment Health Safety & Sustainability process leader having more than 25 years of diversified industrial experience (paints, semiconductors, textile, automotive components, tyres) with demonstrated ability for leading the world-class EHS & Sustainability programmes, broadly experienced in integrating the context of sustainability in business ,  leadership and organizational development, culture change, driving sustainability transformation, project implementation, product stewardship,  remediation management, legal compliance, risk management, loss prevention and envisioning, crafting and executing long term strategic and tactical plans to create over all positive impact on the organization.

By education he holds Masters in Applied Chemistry from Government Engineering College, Jabalpur and Ph.D. from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. During Ph.D. he developed a methodology for eco-efficiency analysis of manufacturing process and derived an eco-efficiency indicator which is a ratio of value addition per unit of environmental burden. This simple eco-efficiency indicator is easy to understand, communicate and gives an opportunity to management, investors as well as customers to make better decisions among the available options. Thus, facilitate business to become more responsible and sustainable.

At present Dr. Bipin Kumar Rai is working with Continental Tyres India as Head of Environment Protection, Safety & Health.
