Prarthana Borah is an environment and sustainability sector expert with over two decades of field experience in climate change, air pollution, conservation, and environmental education. She has led stakeholder engagement projects with United Nations Agencies, policy documentation initiatives with the Indian Ministries, and worked with the private sector to drive climate and sustainability ambition.
She is a mentor to start-ups including the Nexus start-up of the Embassy of the United States in India, a Board Member, and advisor to national/global networks for driving sustainability action. She has presented in multiple forums, nationally and internationally including the UNFCCC Conference of Parties.
As Vice President of Sustainability, Prarthana leads the Sustainability vertical of Momentum India Private Ltd where she advises, guides, and drives disclosures, reporting, goal setting, and ESG strategy/implementation of India Inc. An international sustainability expert, Prarthana was earlier India Director of CDP, a global not-for-profit headquartered in the UK where she led the India program strategy for disclosure and science-based target setting of over 100 Indian corporates and cities. Before that, she led the India Foundation of Clean Air Asia an international not-for-profit set up by ADB. Under her leadership, Clean Air Asia facilitated clean air action plans in Indian cities.
